The wine owes much of its acclaim to winemakers in Bordeaux and the region of Loire Valley in France. Its taste is very distinct from other white wines because of its green and herb flavors. Sauvignon Blanc means “Wild White” and the grape is similar to Traminer with origins traced in the South of France. A widely planted wine grape with its wide range of styles and flavors. Across the world, including in France, Sauvignon Blanc is barely ever aged in oak- winemakers favoring the presentation of the bright and fruity components of the grape.

Sauvignon Blanc has also some unique flavors compared to other white wines. Having herbaceous flavors like jalapeño, gooseberry, bell pepper, and grass. These rich flavors come from the aromatic compounds called "Pyrazines" which makes Sauvignon Blanc’s taste delightful.
